Anne-Mette Hvas is head of a research group investigating thromboembolic and bleeding risk in different populations e.g. in patients with cancer, sepsis, cardiovascular disease, immune thrombocytopenia or essential thrombocytosis. The laboratory investigations used range from different platelet function tests to thromboelastometry, thrombin generation measurement, determination of coagulation factors and clot lysis assay.
